Jisu Oh

Jisu Oh is a conductor, educator, and church musician whose work bridges cultures and communities through choral music. She is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate and Teaching Assistant in Choral Conducting at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, where she directs university choirs and teaches aural skills.

In addition to her academic work, she serves as Organist and Assistant Choirmaster at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Miami and has been active in the city’s choral life, including her work as Associate Conductor of Miami Collegium Musicum. Her work spans academic, church, and community-based choral settings.

Originally from South Korea, Jisu earned her Bachelor of Arts in Choral Conducting from the Korea National University of Arts and her Master of Music from the University of Texas at Austin. After completing her undergraduate studies, she conducted the choir at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and was actively involved in community-based music education initiatives serving underprivileged students. She is currently engaged in choral music research, with a strong interest in culturally informed repertoire and practice.
