Dr. Virginia Covarrubias has devoted her music career to collaborative piano and music education. She is a prize winner of several piano and chamber music competitions in Mexico and the U.S.A. Her Radio and Television broadcasts include Radio UNAM Mexico, Kansas Classical Music Radio, Miami local news NBC 6, and Canal 22 T.V Mexico. Dr. Covarrubias has been nominated several times for the Grammy’s Music Educator Award; she holds a certificate in effective College Instruction from the American Council of Education. Currently, she teaches at the Miami Dade College and True North Academy.

Dr. Covarrubias holds a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, a Master’s degree in piano performance from the Longy School of Music, and a Doctoral degree in collaborative piano and chamber music from the University of Miami.
