Linda Alvarado-Stermer

Linda Alvarado Stermer is a music educator and vocalist from Miami, FL. She is a graduate of the University of Miami where she earned a Master’s in vocal jazz performance. Her undergraduate studies took her to Kalamazoo, MI where she earned a Bachelor of Music in jazz studies from Western Michigan University. 

On stage, Alvarado Stermer has performed with Ben Folds, Nathan Pacheco, Becca Stevens, Cyrille Aimee, Sara Gazarek, Kate McGarry, Peter Eldridge, the Real Group, the New York Voices, and Jon Secada. In the studio, Alvarado Stermer has recorded jingles and commercial projects for Telemundo, Dreamworks, and HBO.

Currently, Alvarado serves as the coordinator for jazz and contemporary voice at Miami Dade College’s Kendall Campus. She leads vocal jazz ensembles and teaches jazz voice lessons and music theory
