Minuet

Minuet is a treble chorus for children in grades 3-5. In this group, they are engaged in singing experiences through imitation. Their training will include developing vocal skills, musicianship, and sight-singing skills. The repertoire will include rounds and canons, folk songs, and cover a wide range of cultures and genres.

Each week, singers are guided by one professional director, one teaching assistant / graduate student of music education, a live pianist, and a rehearsal coordinator. The ensemble is further supported by a director of operations and an executive artistic director.

Aside from the one hour/week rehearsal commitment, Minuet singers participate in approximately four to six performances per season. These include our two major concerts (in mid-December and early May, respectively), in-house “singalong” style events, and community events across South Florida throughout the school year. When they are not performing, choristers and their families are always invited and encouraged to attend the concerts performed by the older ensembles, too!

Rehearsals: Saturdays 10:00-11:30 am

at the First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables.

Tuition: $100 registration + $600 annual tuition.

Minuet enrollment for the 2026-2027 season is open.

Family orientation is August 29, 2026, and the first rehearsal will be held September 12, 2026.
